Ali 'Imran (House of Imran) 3:95-97Say: Allah speaketh truth. So follow the religion of Abraham, the upright. He was not of the idolaters. Lo! the first Sanctuary appointed for mankind was that at Becca, a blessed place, a guidance to the peoples; Wherein are plain memorials (of Allah's guidance); the place where Abraham stood up to pray; and whosoever entereth it is safe. And pilgrimage to the House is a duty unto Allah for mankind, for him who can find a way thither. As for him who disbelieveth, (let him know that) lo! Allah is Independent of (all) creatures.
Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) 22:26And (remember) when We prepared for Abraham the place of the (holy) House, saying: Ascribe thou no thing as partner unto Me, and purify My House for those who make the round (thereof) and those who stand and those who bow and make prostration.

Notes

The Bible indicates that Abraham never went to Mecca. He died at the age of 175 in Hebron.
