Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith 2584 ⓘ
Narrated As-Sa'ib ibn Yazid: As-Sa'ib reported on the authority of a man whom he named: The Messenger of Allah put on two coats of mail during the battle of Uhud as a double protection. (The narrator is doubtful about the word zahara or labisa.)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ حَسِبْتُ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ يَزِيدَ بْنَ خُصَيْفَةَ، يَذْكُرُ عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، قَدْ سَمَّاهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ظَاهَرَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ بَيْنَ دِرْعَيْنِ أَوْ لَبِسَ دِرْعَيْنِ .
