Sunan Ibn Majah, Book 32, Hadith 3736 (In-Book) ⓘ

It was narrated from ‘Amr bin Shu’aib, from his father, that his grandfather said: “The Messenger of Allah said: ‘Eat and drink, give charity and wear clothes, as long as that does not involve any extravagance or vanity.’”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنْبَأَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏ "‏ كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا وَتَصَدَّقُوا وَالْبَسُوا مَا لَمْ يُخَالِطْهُ إِسْرَافٌ أَوْ مَخِيلَةٌ ‏" ‏ ‏.‏
