Bulugh al-Maram, Book 3, Hadith 574 (English) ⓘ
‘AIi (RAA) narrated, ‘l heard the Messenger of Allah say, “Do not be extravagant in shrouding (i.e. do not spend too much money on them) for it will decay quickly.” Related by Abu Dawud.
وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: { سَمِعْتُ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -يَقُولُ: "لَا تُغَالُوا فِي اَلْكَفَنِ, فَإِنَّهُ يُسْلُبُ سَرِيعًا" } رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ 1. 1 - ضعيف. رواه أبو داود (3154).
