This chapter (sura) of the Quran is thought to be written in the mid-Meccan period sometime between 620 and 622 and is made up of 112 verses or 'aya'. Current translation is Pickthall.
21:7And We sent not (as Our messengers) before thee other than men, whom We inspired. Ask the followers of the Reminder if ye know not?
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ إِلَّا رِجَالًا نُوحِي إِلَيْهِمْ فَاسْأَلُوا أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
