Rain

Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and with it We bring forth fruits of different colors?

6:99He it is Who sendeth down water from the sky, and therewith We bring forth buds of every kind; We bring forth the green blade from which We bring forth the thick-clustered grain; and from the date-palm, from the pollen thereof, spring pendant bunches; and (We bring forth) gardens of grapes, and the olive and the pomegranate, alike and unlike. Look upon the fruit thereof, when they bear fruit, and upon its ripening. Lo! herein verily are portents for a people who believe.

13:17He sendeth down water from the sky, so that valleys flow according to their measure, and the flood beareth (on its surface) swelling foam - from that which they smelt in the fire in order to make ornaments and tools riseth a foam like unto it - thus Allah coineth (the similitude of) the true and the false. Then, as for the foam, it passeth away as scum upon the banks, while, as for that which is of use to mankind, it remaineth in the earth. Thus Allah coineth the similitudes.

14:32Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth, and causeth water to descend from the sky, thereby producing fruits as food for you, and maketh the ships to be of service unto you, that they may run upon the sea at His command, and hath made of service unto you the rivers;

16:10He it is Who sendeth down water from the sky, whence ye have drink, and whence are trees on which ye send your beasts to pasture.

22:63Seest thou not how Allah sendeth down water from the sky and then the earth becometh green upon the morrow? Lo! Allah is Subtile, Aware.

23:18And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it.

25:48And He it is Who sendeth the winds, glad tidings heralding His mercy, and We send down purifying water from the sky,

27:60Is not He (best) Who created the heavens and the earth, and sendeth down for you water from the sky wherewith We cause to spring forth joyous orchards, whose trees it never hath been yours to cause to grow. Is there any Allah beside Allah? Nay, but they are folk who ascribe equals (unto Him)!

35:27Hast thou not seen that Allah causeth water to fall from the sky, and We produce therewith fruit of divers hues; and among the hills are streaks white and red, of divers hues, and (others) raven-black;

39:21Hast thou not seen how Allah hath sent down water from the sky and hath caused it to penetrate the earth as watersprings, and afterward thereby produceth crops of divers hues; and afterward they wither and thou seest them turn yellow; then He maketh them chaff. Lo! herein verily is a reminder for men of understanding.

43:11And Who sendeth down water from the sky in (due) measure, and We revive a dead land therewith. Even so will ye be brought forth;

50:9And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops,

71:11He will let loose the sky for you in plenteous rain,

78:14And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water,

It is Allah who sends the winds, stirring up clouds. We drive them to a lifeless land and revive the earth after its death. That is how the resurrection will be.

2:164Lo! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of night and day, and the ships which run upon the sea with that which is of use to men, and the water which Allah sendeth down from the sky, thereby reviving the earth after its death, and dispersing all kinds of beasts therein, and (in) the ordinance of the winds, and the clouds obedient between heaven and earth: are signs (of Allah's Sovereignty) for people who have sense.

7:57And He it is Who sendeth the winds as tidings heralding His mercy, till, when they bear a cloud heavy (with rain), We lead it to a dead land, and then cause water to descend thereon and thereby bring forth fruits of every kind. Thus bring We forth the dead. Haply ye may remember.

16:65Allah sendeth down water from the sky and therewith reviveth the earth after her death. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for a folk who hear.

22:5O mankind! if ye are in doubt concerning the Resurrection, then lo! We have created you from dust, then from a drop of seed, then from a clot, then from a little lump of flesh shapely and shapeless, that We may make (it) clear for you. And We cause what We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed time, and afterward We bring you forth as infants, then (give you growth) that ye attain your full strength. And among you there is he who dieth (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the most abject time of life, so that, after knowledge, he knoweth naught. And thou (Muhammad) seest the earth barren, but when We send down water thereon, it doth thrill and swell and put forth every lovely kind (of growth).

24:43Hast thou not seen how Allah wafteth the clouds, then gathereth them, then maketh them layers, and thou seest the rain come forth from between them; He sendeth down from the heaven mountains wherein is hail, and smiteth therewith whom He will, and averteth it from whom He will. The flashing of His lightning all but snatcheth away the sight.

25:48And He it is Who sendeth the winds, glad tidings heralding His mercy, and We send down purifying water from the sky,

25:49That We may give life thereby to a dead land, and We give many beasts and men that We have created to drink thereof.

30:50Look, therefore, at the prints of Allah's mercy (in creation): how He quickeneth the earth after her death. Lo! He verily is the Quickener of the Dead, and He is Able to do all things.

35:9And Allah it is Who sendeth the winds and they raise a cloud; then We lead it unto a dead land and revive therewith the earth after its death. Such is the Resurrection.

43:11And Who sendeth down water from the sky in (due) measure, and We revive a dead land therewith. Even so will ye be brought forth;

50:11Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead.

Allah is the One who sends the winds, stirring up clouds, then spreads them across the sky as He wills, then forms them into layers, and you see rain emerge from within them. When He causes it to fall upon whom He wills, they rejoice.

30:48Allah is He Who sendeth the winds so that they raise clouds, and spreadeth them along the sky as pleaseth Him, and causeth them to break and thou seest the rain downpouring from within them. And when He maketh it to fall on whom He will of His bondmen, lo! they rejoice;

Do you not see how Allah sends down rain from the sky, and the earth turns green?

22:63Seest thou not how Allah sendeth down water from the sky and then the earth becometh green upon the morrow? Lo! Allah is Subtile, Aware.

Among His signs is that you see the earth barren, then when We send down rain, it stirs and grows.

41:39And of His portents (is this): that thou seest the earth lowly, but when We send down water thereon it thrilleth and groweth. Lo! He Who quickeneth it is verily the Quickener of the Dead. Lo! He is Able to do all things.

He sends down water from the sky, and valleys flow according to their measure. The torrent carries foam like the scum upon molten metal when heated for crafting ornaments or tools.

We send the winds to fertilize, and We send down water from the sky for you to drink, you are not its keepers.

15:22And We send the winds fertilising, and cause water to descend from the sky, and give it you to drink. It is not ye who are the holders of the store thereof.

He sends down water from the sky, from which you drink and which nourishes vegetation for grazing.

16:10He it is Who sendeth down water from the sky, whence ye have drink, and whence are trees on which ye send your beasts to pasture.

25:49That We may give life thereby to a dead land, and We give many beasts and men that We have created to drink thereof.

79:33A provision for you and for your cattle.

We have distributed it among them so they may reflect, but most people persist in denial.

25:50And verily We have repeated it among them that they may remember, but most of mankind begrudge aught save ingratitude.

He made rivers flow for your benefit.

14:32Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth, and causeth water to descend from the sky, thereby producing fruits as food for you, and maketh the ships to be of service unto you, that they may run upon the sea at His command, and hath made of service unto you the rivers;

and We are fully able to take it away.

23:18And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it.

Say, “Have you considered, if your water were to sink deep into the earth, who could bring you flowing water?

67:30Say: Have ye thought: If (all) your water were to disappear into the earth, who then could bring you gushing water?

Brought forth its water and pasture

79:31And produced therefrom the water thereof and the pasture thereof,

He is the One who sends down rain after they have lost hope, spreading His mercy.

42:28And He it is Who sendeth down the saving rain after they have despaired, and spreadeth out His mercy. He is the Protecting Friend, the Praiseworthy.

Though before it was sent down, they were in despair.

30:49Though before that, even before it was sent down upon them, they were in despair.

If He wills, He can still the wind, leaving them motionless upon its surface.

42:33If He will He calmeth the wind so that they keep still upon its surface - Lo! herein verily are signs for every steadfast grateful (heart). -

45:5And the difference of night and day and the provision that Allah sendeth down from the sky and thereby quickeneth the earth after her death, and the ordering of the winds, are portents for a people who have sense.

He sends down hail from the sky, striking whom He wills and turning it away from whom He wills.
