Following Satan

O humanity, eat from what is lawful and good on the earth, and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. He is your sworn enemy.

2:168O mankind! Eat of that which is lawful and wholesome in the earth, and follow not the footsteps of the devil. Lo! he is an open enemy for you.

2:208O ye who believe! Come, all of you, into submission (unto Him); and follow not the footsteps of the devil. Lo! he is an open enemy for you.

6:142And of the cattle (He produceth) some for burdens, some for food. Eat of that which Allah hath bestowed upon you, and follow not the footsteps of the devil, for lo! he is an open foe to you.

17:53Tell My bondmen to speak that which is kindlier. Lo! the devil soweth discord among them. Lo! the devil is for man an open foe.

24:21O ye who believe! Follow not the footsteps of the devil. Unto whomsoever followeth the footsteps of the devil, lo! he commandeth filthiness and wrong. Had it not been for the grace of Allah and His mercy unto you, not one of you would ever have grown pure. But Allah causeth whom He will to grow. And Allah is Hearer, Knower.

36:60Did I not charge you, O ye sons of Adam, that ye worship not the devil - Lo! he is your open foe! -

Iblis proved his assumption about them true; they followed him, except for a group of true believers.

34:20And Satan indeed found his calculation true concerning them, for they follow him, all save a group of true believers.

Whoever takes Satan as an ally instead of Allah has suffered a tremendous loss.

4:38And (also) those who spend their wealth in order to be seen of men, and believe not in Allah nor the Last Day. Whoso taketh Satan for a comrade, a bad comrade hath he.

4:119And surely I will lead them astray, and surely I will arouse desires in them, and surely I will command them and they will cut the cattle' ears, and surely I will command them and they will change Allah's creation. Whoso chooseth Satan for a patron instead of Allah is verily a loser and his loss is manifest.

Yet he led many of you astray. Didn’t you use your reason?

36:62Yet he hath led astray of you a great multitude. Had ye then no sense?

Satan wishes to lead them far astray.

4:60Hast thou not seen those who pretend that they believe in that which is revealed unto thee and that which was revealed before thee, how they would go for judgment (in their disputes) to false deities when they have been ordered to abjure them? Satan would mislead them far astray.

He led me away from the Reminder after it had come to me.” Satan always betrays humanity.

25:29He verily led me astray from the Reminder after it had reached me. Satan was ever man's deserter in the hour of need.
