Calling on Satan

They call upon nothing but female deities and invoke none but Satan, the rebellious.

4:117They invoke in His stead only females; they pray to none else than Satan, a rebel

Allah has cursed him, and he said, “I will surely take a portion of Your servants.”

4:118Whom Allah cursed, and he said: Surely I will take of Thy bondmen an appointed portion,

“I will mislead them, fill them with false hopes, and command them to slit the ears of cattle and alter Allah’s creation.” Whoever takes Satan as an ally instead of Allah has suffered a tremendous loss.

4:119And surely I will lead them astray, and surely I will arouse desires in them, and surely I will command them and they will cut the cattle' ears, and surely I will command them and they will change Allah's creation. Whoso chooseth Satan for a patron instead of Allah is verily a loser and his loss is manifest.

Satan makes grand promises, filling hearts with illusions, but his pledges are nothing but deception.

4:120He promiseth them and stirreth up desires in them, and Satan promiseth them only to beguile.
