Comforting Verses after Revealing the Satanic Verses

Never did We send a messenger or prophet before you without Satan casting something into his message. But Allah nullifies what Satan interjects, then affirms His revelations.

22:52Never sent We a messenger or a prophet before thee but when He recited (the message) Satan proposed (opposition) in respect of that which he recited thereof. But Allah abolisheth that which Satan proposeth. Then Allah establisheth His revelations. Allah is Knower, Wise;

He allows this so He may test those with sickness in their hearts and those hardened in disbelief. Truly, the wrongdoers are steeped in opposition.

22:53That He may make that which the devil proposeth a temptation for those in whose hearts is a disease, and those whose hearts are hardened - Lo! the evil-doers are in open schism -
