Emigrates for Allah

But those who emigrated after being persecuted, then struggled and endured

16:110Then lo! thy Lord - for those who became fugitives after they had been persecuted, and then fought and were steadfast - lo! thy Lord afterward is (for them) indeed Forgiving, Merciful.

Whoever migrates for Allah’s cause will find many places of refuge and abundance on earth. And whoever leaves home, emigrating to Allah and His Messenger, and then death overtakes them, their reward is assured with Allah.

4:100Whoso migrateth for the cause of Allah will find much refuge and abundance in the earth, and whoso forsaketh his home, a fugitive unto Allah and His messenger, and death overtaketh him, his reward is then incumbent on Allah. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.

Whatever gains Allah turned over to His Messenger from the people of the towns belongs to Allah, the Messenger, close relatives, orphans, the needy, and the traveller, so that wealth does not circulate only among the rich among you. Whatever the Messenger gives you, take it; and whatever he forbids you, abstain.

59:7That which Allah giveth as spoil unto His messenger from the people of the townships, it is for Allah and His messenger and for the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, that it become not a commodity between the rich among you. And whatsoever the messenger giveth you, take it. And whatsoever he forbiddeth, abstain (from it). And keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is stern in reprisal.

It is also for the poor emigrants who were driven from their homes and wealth, seeking Allah’s favour and pleasure, and supporting Allah and His Messenger. They are the truthful ones.

59:8And (it is) for the poor fugitives who have been driven out from their homes and their belongings, who seek bounty from Allah and help Allah and His messenger. They are the loyal.

And those who settled in the city and embraced faith before them love those who emigrated to them. They find no envy in their hearts for what the emigrants were given, but prefer them over themselves, even if they are in need. Whoever is protected from the stinginess of their soul, it is they who will succeed.

59:9Those who entered the city and the faith before them love those who flee unto them for refuge, and find in their breasts no need for that which hath been given them, but prefer (the fugitives) above themselves though poverty become their lot. And whoso is saved from his own avarice - such are they who are successful.

It was not fitting for the people of Medina and those around them to stay behind when Allah’s Messenger marched forth, nor to prefer their own comfort over his. They did not suffer thirst, fatigue, or hunger in Allah’s cause, nor take a step that enraged the enemy, nor gain anything from them, without it being recorded as a righteous deed. Allah does not let the reward of the righteous go to waste.

9:120It is not for the townsfolk of Al-Madinah and for those around them of the wandering Arabs so stay behind the messenger of Allah and prefer their lives to his life. That is because neither thirst nor toil nor hunger afflicteth them in the way of Allah, nor step they any step that angereth the disbelievers, nor gain they from the enemy a gain, but a good deed is recorded for them therefor. Lo! Allah loseth not the wages of the good.

So their Lord responded, ‘I will never let the deeds of any among you go to waste, whether male or female, you are of one another. Those who emigrated, were expelled, suffered in My cause, fought, and were killed, I will erase their sins and admit them into gardens beneath which rivers flow, as a reward from Allah. With Him lies the finest reward.’

3:195And their Lord hath heard them (and He saith): Lo! I suffer not the work of any worker, male or female, to be lost. Ye proceed one from another. So those who fled and were driven forth from their homes and suffered damage for My cause, and fought and were slain, verily I shall remit their evil deeds from them and verily I shall bring them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow - A reward from Allah. And with Allah is the fairest of rewards.

As for those who left their homes for Allah’s cause, then were killed or died, Allah will surely provide for them a good provision. Truly, Allah is the best of providers.

22:58Those who fled their homes for the cause of Allah and then were slain or died, Allah verily will provide for them a good provision. Lo! Allah, He verily is Best of all who make provision.

He will admit them to a place they will be pleased with.

22:59Assuredly He will cause them to enter by an entry that they will love. Lo! Allah verily is Knower, Indulgent.

That is so. And whoever responds in kind after being wronged, yet is then oppressed again, Allah will surely help him.

22:60That (is so). And whoso hath retaliated with the like of that which he was made to suffer and then hath (again) been wronged, Allah will succour him. Lo! Allah verily is Mild, Forgiving.

Those who emigrated for Allah after being wronged, We will grant them a good home in this world, but the reward of the Hereafter is greater, if only they knew.

16:41And those who became fugitives for the cause of Allah after they had been oppressed, We verily shall give them goodly lodging in the world, and surely the reward of the Hereafter is greater, if they but knew;

Those who endure patiently and trust in their Lord.

16:42Such as are steadfast and put their trust in Allah.
