Invoking Allah

Say, “If calamity were to strike you, or the final Hour were to come, would you call upon anyone other than Allah, if you are truthful?”

6:40Say: Can ye see yourselves, if the punishment of Allah come upon you or the Hour come upon you, (calling upon other than Allah)? Do ye then call (for help) to any other than Allah? (Answer that) if ye are truthful.

Call upon Him with hope and fear

7:56Work not confusion in the earth after the fair ordering (thereof). and call on Him in fear and hope. Lo! the mercy of Allah is nigh unto the good.

Those who do not invoke other gods besides Allah, nor take a life unjustly.

25:68And those who cry not unto any other god along with Allah, nor take the life which Allah hath forbidden save in (course of) justice, nor commit adultery - and whoso doeth this shall pay the penalty;

No! It is Him alone you call upon, and if He wills, He removes your distress. Yet you forget Him when relief comes.

6:41Nay, but unto Him ye call, and He removeth that because of which ye call unto Him, if He will, and ye forget whatever partners ye ascribed unto Him.
