Gifts Given to David

And to David, We gave the Psalms.

4:163Lo! We inspire thee as We inspired Noah and the prophets after him, as We inspired Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes, and Jesus and Job and Jonah and Aaron and Solomon, and as We imparted unto David the Psalms;

17:55And thy Lord is Best Aware of all who are in the heavens and the earth. And we preferred some of the prophets above others, and unto David We gave the Psalms.

Be patient with what they say, and remember Our servant David, endowed with strength, he was ever turning to Us.

38:17Bear with what they say, and remember Our bondman David, lord of might, Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (toward Allah).

38:30And We bestowed on David, Solomon. How excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (toward Allah).

We made the mountains glorify with him, at dawn and dusk.

38:18Lo! We subdued the hills to hymn the praises (of their Lord) with him at nightfall and sunrise,

And the birds gathered, all obedient to him.

38:19And the birds assembled; all were turning unto Him.

We strengthened his kingdom and granted him wisdom and decisive speech.

38:20We made his kingdom strong and gave him wisdom and decisive speech.

We granted David a favour from Us: “O mountains, echo with him in praise!” and so did the birds. We softened iron for him

34:10And assuredly We gave David grace from Us, (saying): O ye hills and birds, echo his psalms of praise! And We made the iron supple unto him,

And We taught David the craft of armour-making to protect you in battle, will you then be grateful?

21:80And We taught him the art of making garments (of mail) to protect you in your daring. Are ye then thankful?

34:11Saying: Make thou long coats of mail and measure the links (thereof). And do ye right. Lo! I am Seer of what ye do.
