Angels
We have appointed only angels as guardians of the Fire, and made their number a trial for the disbelievers, so that the People of the Book may be certain, and the believers may grow in faith, and no doubt remains for the People of the Book or the believers. But those with sickness in their hearts and the disbelievers will say, “What does Allah mean by this example?” Thus, Allah leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. None knows the armies of your Lord but He. This is only a reminder for humanity.
74:31We have appointed only angels to be wardens of the Fire, and their number have We made to be a stumbling-block for those who disbelieve; that those to whom the Scripture hath been given may have certainty, and that believers may increase in faith; and that those to whom the Scripture hath been given and believers may not doubt; and that those in whose hearts there is disease, and disbelievers, may say: What meaneth Allah by this similitude? Thus Allah sendeth astray whom He will, and whom He will He guideth. None knoweth the hosts of thy Lord save Him. This is naught else than a Reminder unto mortals.
On the Day they see the angels, there will be no glad tidings for the guilty, and they will cry, “A barrier between us!”
25:22On the day when they behold the angels, on that day there will be no good tidings for the guilty; and they will cry: A forbidding ban!
We will summon the guardians.
96:18We will call the guards of hell.
“Gather the wrongdoers, their partners, and all they used to worship
37:22(And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship
Besides Allah, and lead them to the path of Hell.
37:23Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell;
When angels take the souls of those who wronged themselves, they ask, “What was your condition?” They reply, “We were oppressed in the land.” The angels say, “Was Allah’s earth not vast enough for you to migrate?”
4:97Lo! as for those whom the angels take (in death) while they wrong themselves, (the angels) will ask: In what were ye engaged? They will say: We were oppressed in the land. (The angels) will say: Was not Allah's earth spacious that ye could have migrated therein? As for such, their habitation will be hell, an evil journey's end;
O My servants who believe, My earth is vast.
29:56O my bondmen who believe! Lo! My earth is spacious. Therefor serve Me only.
39:10Say: O My bondmen who believe! Observe your duty to your Lord. For those who do good in this world there is good, and Allah's earth is spacious. Verily the steadfast will be paid their wages without stint.
