Unbelievers

But whoever turns away and disbelieves

88:23But whoso is averse and disbelieveth,

Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.

88:24Allah will punish him with direst punishment.

For those who reject their Lord is the punishment of Hell.

67:6And for those who disbelieve in their Lord there is the doom of hell, a hapless journey's end!

Those who do not believe in the Hereafter have the worst qualities, while Allah has the highest attributes.

16:60For those who believe not in the Hereafter is an evil similitude, and Allah's is the Sublime Similitude. He is the Mighty, the Wise.

Instead, the disbelievers reject it.

84:22Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny;

But Allah knows what they conceal.

84:23And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding.

Those who hoard wealth and refuse to spend in Allah’s cause should not think it is good for them. Rather, it will be a burden around their necks on the Day of Judgment.

3:180And let not those who hoard up that which Allah hath bestowed upon them of His bounty think that it is better for them. Nay, it is worse for them. That which they hoard will be their collar on the Day of Resurrection. Allah's is the heritage of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is Informed of what ye do.

O you who disbelieve, make no excuses today. You are only being repaid for what you used to do.

66:7(Then it will be said): O ye who disbelieve! Make no excuses for yourselves this day. Ye are only being paid for what ye used to do.

Say, “Have you considered whether Allah destroys me and those with me, or shows us mercy, who will protect the disbelievers from a painful punishment?”

67:28Say (O Muhammad): Have ye thought: Whether Allah causeth me (Muhammad) and those with me to perish or hath mercy on us, still, who will protect the disbelievers from a painful doom?

Yet when We let him taste mercy after hardship, he says, “This is mine, I do not think the Hour will come. But if I am returned to my Lord, I will surely have the best with Him.” Yet We will inform those who disbelieve of what they did

41:50And verily, if We cause him to taste mercy after some hurt that hath touched him, he will say: This is my own; and I deem not that the Hour will ever rise, and if I am brought back to my Lord, I surely shall be better off with Him - But We verily shall tell those who disbelieve (all) that they did, and We verily shall make them taste hard punishment.

They use their oaths as a shield, turning people away from Allah’s path.

58:16They make a shelter of their oaths and turn (men) from the way of Allah; so theirs will be a shameful doom.

They are like those who came just before them, they tasted the consequences of their actions

59:15On the likeness of those (who suffered) a short time before them, they taste the ill-effects of their own conduct, and theirs is painful punishment.

64:5Hath not the story reached you of those who disbelieved of old and so did taste the ill-effects of their conduct, and theirs will be a painful doom.

65:9So that it tasted the ill-effects of its conduct, and the consequence of its conduct was loss.

He thought and calculated

74:18For lo! he did consider; then he planned -

May he be ruined for how he calculated!

74:19(Self-)destroyed is he, how he planned!

Again, may he be ruined for how he calculated!

74:20Again (self-)destroyed is he, how he planned! -

Then he looked

74:21Then looked he,

Then he frowned and scowled

74:22Then frowned he and showed displeasure.

Then he turned away in arrogance

74:23Then turned he away in pride

They will say, "Our Lord, You made us die twice and gave us life twice. Now we confess our sins. Is there any way out?"

40:11They say: Our Lord! Twice hast Thou made us die, and twice hast Thou made us live. Now we confess our sins. Is there any way to go out?

"This is because when Allah alone was called upon, you rejected Him, but when others were associated with Him, you believed. The judgment belongs to Allah."

40:12(It is said unto them): This is (your plight) because, when Allah only was invoked, ye disbelieved, but when some partner was ascribed to Him ye were believing. But the command belongeth only to Allah, the Sublime, the Majestic.
