Companions of the Fire

They (polytheists) call you toward the Fire

2:221Wed not idolatresses till they believe; for lo! a believing bondwoman is better than an idolatress though she please you; and give not your daughters in marriage to idolaters till they believe, for lo! a believing slave is better than an idolater though he please you. These invite unto the Fire, and Allah inviteth unto the Garden, and unto forgiveness by His grace, and expoundeth His revelations to mankind that haply they may remember.

Those who reject faith and die as disbelievers, no amount of gold, even if offered as ransom, will save them.

3:91Lo! those who disbelieve, and die in disbelief, the (whole) earth full of gold would not be accepted from such an one if it were offered as a ransom (for his soul). Theirs will be a painful doom and they will have no helpers.

Those who reject faith, if they possessed all the wealth of the earth and twice as much to ransom themselves from punishment on the Day of Judgment, it would not be accepted. A painful torment awaits them.

5:36As for those who disbelieve, lo! if all that is in the earth were theirs, and as much again therewith, to ransom them from the doom on the Day of Resurrection, it would not be accepted from them. Theirs will be a painful doom.

But those who persist in consuming interest will be companions of the Fire

2:275Those who swallow usury cannot rise up save as he ariseth whom the devil hath prostrated by (his) touch. That is because they say: Trade is just like usury; whereas Allah permitteth trading and forbiddeth usury. He unto whom an admonition from his Lord cometh, and (he) refraineth (in obedience thereto), he shall keep (the profits of) that which is past, and his affair (henceforth) is with Allah. As for him who returneth (to usury) - Such are rightful owners of the Fire. They will abide therein.

But those who reject Our signs and act arrogantly, they will be companions of the Fire.

7:36But they who deny Our revelations and scorn them - each are rightful owners of the Fire; they will abide therein.

Thus, the decree of your Lord was fulfilled against the disbelievers, that they are destined for the Fire.

40:6Thus was the word of thy Lord concerning those who disbelieve fulfilled: That they are owners of the Fire.

They are the companions of the Fire

2:39But they who disbelieve, and deny Our revelations, such are rightful Peoples of the Fire. They will abide therein.

2:81Nay, but whosoever hath done evil and his sin surroundeth him; such are rightful owners of the Fire; they will abide therein.

2:217They question thee (O Muhammad) with regard to warfare in the sacred month. Say: Warfare therein is a great (transgression), but to turn (men) from the way of Allah, and to disbelieve in Him and in the Inviolable Place of Worship, and to expel His people thence, is a greater with Allah; for persecution is worse than killing. And they will not cease from fighting against you till they have made you renegades from your religion, if they can. And whoso becometh a renegade and dieth in his disbelief: such are they whose works have fallen both in the world and the Hereafter. Such are rightful owners of the Fire: they will abide therein.

2:257Allah is the Protecting Guardian of those who believe. He bringeth them out of darkness into light. As for those who disbelieve, their patrons are false deities. They bring them out of light into darkness. Such are rightful owners of the Fire. They will abide therein.

3:116Lo! the riches and the progeny of those who disbelieve will not avail them aught against Allah; and such are rightful owners of the Fire. They will abide therein.

5:29Lo! I would rather thou shouldst bear the punishment of the sin against me and thine own sin and become one of the owners of the fire. That is the reward of evil-doers.

7:36But they who deny Our revelations and scorn them - each are rightful owners of the Fire; they will abide therein.

7:47And when their eyes are turned toward the dwellers of the Fire, they say: Our Lord! Place us not with the wrong-doing folk.

9:113It is not for the Prophet, and those who believe, to pray for the forgiveness of idolaters even though they may be near of kin (to them) after it hath become clear that they are people of hell-fire.

10:27And those who earn ill-deeds, (for them) requital of each ill-deed by the like thereof; and ignominy overtaketh them - They have no protector from Allah - as if their faces had been covered with a cloak of darkest night. Such are rightful owners of the Fire; they will abide therein.

13:5And if thou wonderest, then wondrous is their saying: When we are dust, are we then forsooth (to be raised) in a new creation? Such are they who disbelieve in their Lord; such have carcans on their necks; such are rightful owners of the Fire, they will abide therein.

39:8And when some hurt toucheth man, he crieth unto his Lord, turning unto Him (repentant). Then, when He granteth him a boon from Him he forgetteth that for which he cried unto Him before, and setteth up rivals to Allah that he may beguile (men) from his way. Say (O Muhammad, unto such an one): Take pleasure in thy disbelief a while. Lo! thou art of the owners of the Fire.

40:6Thus was the word of thy Lord concerning those who disbelieve fulfilled: That they are owners of the Fire.

40:43Assuredly that whereunto ye call me hath no claim in the world or in the Hereafter, and our return will be unto Allah, and the prodigals will be owners of the Fire.

57:19And those who believe in Allah and His messengers, they are the loyal, and the martyrs are with their Lord; they have their reward and their light; while as for those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, they are owners of hell-fire.

58:17Their wealth and their children will avail them naught against Allah. Such are rightful owners of the Fire; they will abide therein.

64:10But those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, such are owners of the Fire; they will abide therein - a hapless journey's end!

67:10And they say: Had we been wont to listen or have sense, we had not been among the dwellers in the flames.

67:11So they acknowledge their sins; but far removed (from mercy) are the dwellers in the flames.

You will not be held accountable for those who choose the path of the Fire.

2:119Lo! We have sent thee (O Muhammad) with the truth, a bringer of glad tidings and a warner. And thou wilt not be asked about the owners of hell-fire.

The people of Paradise will call to the people of Hell, saying, “We have found our Lord’s promise to be true, have you found yours to be true?” They will reply, “Yes.” Then a caller will proclaim, “May Allah’s curse be upon the wrongdoers

7:44And the dwellers of the Garden cry unto the dwellers of the Fire: We have found that which our Lord promised us (to be) the Truth. Have ye (too) found that which your Lord promised the Truth? They say: Yea, verily. And a crier in between them crieth: The curse of Allah is on evil-doers,

And when their gaze turns toward the people of Hell, they will say, “Our Lord, do not place us among the wrongdoers.”

7:47And when their eyes are turned toward the dwellers of the Fire, they say: Our Lord! Place us not with the wrong-doing folk.

The people of Hell will call to the people of Paradise, saying, “Pour some water over us, or anything Allah has provided you.” They will reply, “Allah has forbidden both to the disbelievers.

7:50And the dwellers of the Fire cry out unto the dwellers of the Garden: Pour on us some water or some wherewith Allah hath provided you. They say: Lo! Allah hath forbidden both to disbelievers (in His guidance),

Is one who will face the torment on the Day of Judgment like one who is safe?

39:24Is he then, who will strike his face against the awful doom upon the Day of Resurrection (as he who doeth right)? And it will be said unto the wrong-doers: Taste what ye used to earn.

The people of the Fire and the people of Paradise are not equal.

59:20Not equal are the owners of the Fire and the owners of the Garden. The owners of the Garden, they are the victorious.
