Against Believers

There was a group of My servants who used to say, ‘Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the best of the merciful.’

23:109Lo! there was a party of My slaves who said: Our Lord! We believe, therefor forgive us and have mercy on us for Thou art Best of all who show mercy;

But you took them in mockery, until they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.

23:110But ye chose them for a laughing-stock until they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, while ye laughed at them.

He will say, “How many years did you remain on earth?”

23:112He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years?

They will say, “We stayed a day, or part of a day, ask those who kept count.”

23:113They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count!

He will say, “You stayed only a little, if only you had known.

23:114He will say: Ye tarried but a little if ye only knew.

Did you think We created you without purpose, and that you would not be returned to Us?”

23:115Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us?

But whoever kills a believer intentionally will face Hell, where they will remain. Allah’s wrath and curse are upon them, and a severe punishment awaits.

4:93Whoso slayeth a believer of set purpose, his reward is hell for ever. Allah is wroth against him and He hath cursed him and prepared for him an awful doom.

When they are told, ‘Fear Allah,’ their arrogance drives them deeper into sin.

2:206And when it is said unto him: Be careful of thy duty to Allah, pride taketh him to sin. Hell will settle his account, an evil resting-place.
