Spending

The disbelievers spend their wealth to turn people away from Allah’s path. They will continue to spend it, then regret it, and ultimately be defeated. The disbelievers will be gathered into Hell.

8:36Lo! those who disbelieve spend their wealth in order that they may debar (men) from the way of Allah. They will spend it, then it will become an anguish for them, then they will be conquered. And those who disbelieve will be gathered unto hell,

Those who hoard gold and silver and do not spend it in Allah’s cause, give them news of a painful punishment.

9:34O ye who believe! Lo! many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks devour the wealth of mankind wantonly and debar (men) from the way of Allah. They who hoard up gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah, unto them give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom,

70:18And hoarded (wealth) and withheld it.

Those who are stingy and encourage others to be stingy, hiding what Allah has given them.

4:37Who hoard their wealth and enjoin avarice on others, and hide that which Allah hath bestowed upon them of His bounty. For disbelievers We prepare a shameful doom;

Those who withhold charity and deny the Hereafter.

41:7Who give not the poor-due, and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter.

Do not let their wealth or children impress you. Allah only intends to punish them through these in this life, and their souls will depart while they are disbelievers.

9:55So let not their riches nor their children please thee (O Muhammad). Allah thereby intendeth but to punish them in the life of the world and that their souls shall pass away while they are disbelievers.

9:85Let not their wealth nor their children please thee! Allah purposeth only to punish them thereby in the world, and that their souls shall pass away while they are disbelievers.
