Whoever thinks Allah will not help him in this world and the next, let him stretch a rope to the sky, then sever it, and see if his plan can remove what enrages him.

We know that their words grieve you, but it is not you they reject; it is Allah’s signs that the wrongdoers deny.

Some among them hurt the Prophet, saying, “He listens to everyone.” Say, “He listens to what is good for you, believing in Allah, trusting the believers, and being a mercy to those who believe.”

They swear to you to please you, but it is Allah and His Messenger they should seek to please, if they are true believers.

But if they turn away, say, “Allah is sufficient for me.

He said, “My Lord, judge with truth. And our Lord is the Most Merciful, the One whose help is sought against what you describe.”

But Allah would not punish them while you were among them, nor would He punish them while they sought forgiveness.

O Messenger! Allah will protect you from the people.

Those who convey Allah’s messages and fear Him alone; none should be feared except Allah.

These are unseen events We reveal to you. You did not know them, nor did your people before this. So be patient, the outcome belongs to the righteous.

"This is from the unseen knowledge We reveal to you, O Prophet. You were not present when they plotted against Yusuf."

Say, “My prayer, my worship, my life, and my death are for Allah

“He has no partner. This is what I have been commanded, and I am the first to submit.”

Say, “Shall I seek a lord other than Allah, when He is the Lord of all things? Every soul earns only for itself, and no bearer of burdens will carry another’s burden. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you of what you differed in.”

A Blind Man full verses back to top

He frowned and turned away.

Because the blind man approached him.

But how do you know? Perhaps he seeks purity.

Or wishes to be reminded, and the reminder would benefit him.

Yet as for the one who thinks himself self-sufficient.

You give him your attention.

Though you are not responsible if he does not seek purification.

But as for the one who comes to you eagerly.

With reverence in his heart.

You neglect him.
