A Blind Man

He frowned and turned away.

80:1He frowned and turned away

Because the blind man approached him.

80:2Because the blind man came unto him.

But how do you know? Perhaps he seeks purity.

80:3What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace)

Or wishes to be reminded, and the reminder would benefit him.

80:4Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him?

Yet as for the one who thinks himself self-sufficient.

80:5As for him who thinketh himself independent,

You give him your attention.

80:6Unto him thou payest regard.

Though you are not responsible if he does not seek purification.

80:7Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace).

But as for the one who comes to you eagerly.

80:8But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose

With reverence in his heart.

80:9And hath fear,

You neglect him.

80:10From him thou art distracted.
