Former Messengers

Or have they taken gods besides Him? Say, “Bring your proof. This is the message of those with me and those before me.” But most of them do not know the truth, so they turn away.

21:24Or have they chosen other gods beside Him? say: Bring your proof (of their godhead). This is the Reminder of those with me and those before me, but most of them know not the Truth and so they are averse.

These are Allah’s signs, which We recite to you in truth. You are indeed one of the messengers.

2:252These are the portents of Allah which We recite unto thee (Muhammad) with truth, and lo! thou art of the number of (Our) messengers;

3:108These are revelations of Allah. We recite them unto thee in truth. Allah willeth no injustice to (His) creatures.

Just as We sent among you a messenger from your own people, reciting Our revelations, purifying you, teaching you the Book and wisdom, and instructing you in what you did not know.

2:151Even as We have sent unto you a messenger from among you, who reciteth unto you Our revelations and causeth you to grow, and teacheth you the Scripture and wisdom, and teacheth you that which ye knew not.

Allah has granted His favour to the believers when He sent them a messenger from among themselves—reciting His verses, purifying them, and teaching them the Book and wisdom, though they were previously in clear error.

3:164Allah verily hath shown grace to the believers by sending unto them a messenger of their own who reciteth unto them His revelations, and causeth them to grow, and teacheth them the Scripture and wisdom; although before (he came to them) they were in flagrant error.
