Repentance

Until, when death comes to one of them, he says, “My Lord, send me back

23:99Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back,

There will come a time when the disbelievers will wish they had submitted.

15:2It may be that those who disbelieve wish ardently that they were Muslims.

Leave them to eat, enjoy, and be deceived by false hopes; they will soon realize.

15:3Let them eat and enjoy life, and let (false) hope beguile them. They will come to know!

Indeed, those who disbelieve after having believed, then increase in disbelief, their repentance will never be accepted, and they are truly lost.

3:90Lo! those who disbelieve after their (profession of) belief, and afterward grow violent in disbelief: their repentance will not be accepted. And such are those who are astray.

But repentance is not for those who persist in wrongdoing until death approaches, and they say, ‘Now I repent,’ nor for those who die in disbelief. On that Day, those who denied the truth and disobeyed the Messenger will wish the earth would swallow them. They will not be able to hide anything from Allah.

4:18The forgiveness is not for those who do ill-deeds until, when death attendeth upon one of them, he saith: Lo! I repent now; nor yet for those who die while they are disbelievers. For such We have prepared a painful doom.

On that Day, those who denied the truth and disobeyed the Messenger will wish the earth would swallow them. They will not be able to hide anything from Allah.

4:42On that day those who disbelieved and disobeyed the messenger will wish that they were level with the ground, and they can hide no fact from Allah.

When urged, 'Believe as others have believed,' they scoff, 'Should we believe as the fools do?' Indeed, they are the true fools, though they do not know it.

2:13And when it is said unto them: believe as the people believe, they say: shall we believe as the foolish believe? are not they indeed the foolish? But they know not.

Say to the disbelievers: If they desist, their past will be forgiven. But if they persist, then the fate of those before them has already been sealed.

8:38Tell those who disbelieve that if they cease (from persecution of believers) that which is past will be forgiven them; but if they return (thereto) then the example of the men of old hath already gone (before them, for a warning).
