Judgement Day

On the Day when the sky will be like molten brass

70:8The day when the sky will become as molten copper,

And the mountains like tufts of wool

70:9And the hills become as flakes of wool,

No close friend will ask about a friend

70:10And no familiar friend will ask a question of his friend

Though they will be shown to one another, the guilty will wish to ransom himself from the torment of that Day, with his children

70:11Though they will be given sight of them. The guilty man will long to be able to ransom himself from the punishment of that day at the price of his children

His spouse and his brother

70:12And his spouse and his brother

His family who sheltered him

70:13And his kin that harboured him

And everyone on earth, if it could save him.

70:14And all that are in the earth, if then it might deliver him.

But no! It is a blazing fire

70:15But nay! for lo! it is the fire of hell

Peeling away the scalp

70:16Eager to roast;

Calling those who turned their backs and walked away

70:17It calleth him who turned and fled (from truth),

Who hoarded and withheld.

70:18And hoarded (wealth) and withheld it.
