83:29Lo! the guilty used to laugh at those who believed,

When they returned to their people, they laughed.

83:31And when they returned to their own folk, they returned jesting;

And when they saw them, they said, "These are truly lost!"

83:32And when they saw them they said: Lo! these have gone astray.

Yet they were not sent as guardians over them.

83:33Yet they were not sent as guardians over them.

But today, the believers will laugh at the disbelievers

83:34This day it is those who believe who have the laugh of disbelievers,

Reclining on couches, gazing around.

83:35On high couches, gazing.

Have the disbelievers been repaid for what they did?

83:36Are not the disbelievers paid for what they used to do?
