End of Peoples
Have they not travelled the land and seen the fate of those before them? They were greater in number and strength, but nothing could protect them.
40:82Have they not travelled in the land to see the nature of the consequence for those before them? They were more numerous than these, and mightier in power and (in the) traces (which they left behind them) in the earth. But all that they used to earn availed them not.
Have they not travelled the earth and seen the fate of those before them? Allah destroyed them utterly, and the same awaits the disbelievers.
47:10Have they not travelled in the land to see the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? Allah wiped them out. And for the disbelievers there will be the like thereof.
We sent only men as messengers before you, revealing Our guidance to them. Have they not travelled the earth and seen the fate of those before them?
12:109We sent not before thee (any messengers) save men whom We inspired from among the folk of the townships - Have they not travelled in the land and seen the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? And verily the abode of the Hereafter, for those who ward off (evil), is best. Have ye then no sense? -
When the messengers despaired and thought they had been denied, Our help came to them. We saved whom We willed
12:110Till, when the messengers despaired and thought that they were denied, then came unto them Our help, and whom We would was saved. And Our wrath cannot be warded from the guilty.
Indeed, in their stories is a profound lesson for those of understanding.
12:111In their history verily there is a lesson for men of understanding. It is no invented story but a confirmation of the existing (Scripture) and a detailed explanation of everything, and a guidance and a mercy for folk who believe.
That is because Allah is the protector of those who believe, while the disbelievers have no protector.
47:11That is because Allah is patron of those who believe, and because the disbelievers have no patron.
Allah sets forth a parable: a city once secure and prosperous, its provisions coming abundantly. But it denied Allah’s blessings, so He made it taste hunger and fear for what they used to do.
16:112Allah coineth a similitude: a township that dwelt secure and well content, its provision coming to it in abundance from every side, but it disbelieved in Allah's favours, so Allah made it experience the garb of dearth and fear because of what they used to do.
For every nation, there is a fixed term. When their time comes, they cannot delay it nor hasten it.
7:34And every nation hath its term, and when its term cometh, they cannot put it off an hour nor yet advance (it).
