6:107Had Allah willed, they had not been idolatrous. We have not set thee as a keeper over them, nor art thou responsible for them.

وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مَا أَشْرَكُوا وَمَا جَعَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَكِيلٍ
